Sadness quickly turns to depression and splitting headaches filled with dark thoughts claw at his sanity. It seems that Adrien will never find the one thing he is looking for in life, happiness. When he turns twenty-one, Adrien moves to a town called Rutland, hoping to escape the demons from his past. Life starts to look up for him, but not for too long. The dark thoughts begin creeping back, and soon Adrien is left to make choices that could destroy everything he has been working toward in his new life. Can he find the courage to defeat the evil deep within him? Or will he slowly lose his mind until The Dark One takes his soul?

What’s it about?

His weekly blogs are becoming more popular than he could imagine. Then one day he meets Mr. Mandark. The old man offers Akuji five stories to report on. According to Mr. Mandark, the stories are guaranteed to open every journalist door that exists.
Following the blog’s sinister theme, each week is more intense than the last. Akuji finds it hard to separate reality from fantasy. If he’s not careful, he could find himself in serious trouble, or even worse, dead.

It’s time for someone (wink, wink) to die.

Sean and his mom are on their way to visit his grandmother in Waterford Hospital. The once whole-hearted grandma/mother/wife has grown bitter over the years. Recently, her health took a turn for the worse. The doctors don’t know how much time she has, so every visit counts. Instead of her usual silent treatment, Sean’s grandma asks to speak to him alone. With his mother out of the room, Sean tells his grandma a harmless secret. She responds with a terrible secret of her own.
